| Law enforcement serves 38 warrants By SUE WATSON Staff Writer Marshall
County Sheriff’s Department, along with officers from Benton and Tippah
County, and other city, federal and state law enforcement personnel
participated in a massive round-up Friday, Feb. 6, according to sheriff
Kenny Dickerson. Thirty-eight suspects were arrested and face drug-related, burglary or grand larceny charges. The
drug-related arrests stem from ongoing investigations by Marshall
County deputies and officers with the Tri-County Task Force, he said. “Since
the Task Force was formed, hundreds of drug dealers have been taken off
the street,” Dickerson said. “Most remain in jail; others are out on
bond awaiting further actions.” Dickerson praised
the diligent and hard undercover work done by the narcotics officers
who work on the force and the professional manner in which
investigations and arrests are conducted. He also thanked the public. “We
appreciate confidential information that comes to us from members of
the public and others in reporting their sightings and general
information which is helpful in identifying these suspects and taking
them off the street,” Dickerson said. Those arrested and charged during the Friday round-up included: Joyce Craine, 47, of 185 West Woodward Ave. Apt. # 1, Holly Springs,
