Hawks shock Olive Branch • Holly High beats state’s seventh-ranked squad By CLAUDE VINSON Sports Editor The
Conquistadors of Olive Branch brought their teams to town Friday to
contest the Holly Springs Hawks and Lady Hawks in a DeSoto-Marshall
clash. The Lady Hawks and Lady Conquistadors
started with shots from beyond the arc; however, neither connected.
That seemed to be the tone for most of the shots in the opening frame
since the score had the visitors up by three at 8-5. The Olive Branch
girls play in the 5A division, but in this game and in the early
goings, they didn’t appear to be two classes better than their hosts.
Verily, the Lady Hawks were operating at almost optimum level and
enjoyed a one-point deficit at the end of the low scoring half at 15-14. Full Story

However, on Monday morning, and in a lot of cases, late Sunday night,
SB 43 was being tabbed as one of the best of all times. Full Story
