• Recovery meeting Cedar Haven Baptist Church, 750 Hwy. 309 S in Byhalia, will host a recovery meeting February 6 at 6 p.m. This is an open speaker meeting with guest David Bettes of Byhalia. February 7

• Fish fry Emory Independent Methodist Church in Byhalia will be sponsoring their annual St. Jude fund-raiser on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. in the Family Life Center. An all-you -can-eat fish fry with desserts will be on sale for $10 for adults and $5 for children, age 10 yrs. and under. All proceeds will benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

• Musical program Rising Star MB Church, Feb. 7, 6 p.m. All are invited to come share with us. Pastor, Robert McClain.

• Relay for life supper A communitywide Relay for Life chili and hot dog supper will be held at the Potts Camp City Hall, Feb. 7, 1 p.m. until. All donations are appreciated! Sponsored by Mt. Olive MB Church, Potts Camp.

• No singing There will not be a singing in the month of Feb. at Chewalla Baptist Church.

February 8

• Men’s month The Men of Faith ministry of Mt. Moriah MB Church will begin their annual Men’s Month, Feb. 1, continuing through Feb 22, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. R.J. Wilson. Speaker for Feb. 8 will be Rev. Joe McCray, Mt. Pisgah City Outreach Ministry, Memphis, Tenn.

• Come As You Are program will be held at Pleasant Hill CME Church in Mt. Pleasant, 2:30 p.m. Rev. Charles Jones and Eason Grove will be the guests. Rev. Willie Hoey is pastor. Everyone is invited.

• Black history program Free Branch MB Church will have their annual Black History Program at 2 p.m. Pastor Robert McClain and Rising Star will be the guests.

• Youth day Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant will have annual Youth Day program, 3 p.m. Guests will be Elder Steven Hoyle and St. James COGIC of Ripley. Everyone is invited. Elder Curtis Pritchard is pastor.

• Gospel singing will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, Old Hernando Road featuring The Master’s Quartet. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.; worship service, 11 a.m.; dinner at 12 noon, singing 1 p.m. until. Bro. Charles Knight, pastor, invites everyone.

• Celebration of church history - Hudsonville CME Church, Sun., Feb. 8, guest speaker Kelly McMillen, criminal investigator for the Marshall County Sheriff Dept., at the 11 a.m. service.

• CLASS MEETING Holly Springs High School Class of 1986 will meet at Goodfella’s in Holly Springs, 3 p.m. Please be there on time. Deborah Phillips-Gulledge.

• 69th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION A celebration will honor Pastor Joe and John Powell for their years of service at Jones Grove M.B. Church, 305 Old Hwy. 7 South, 4 p.m. There will be lots of singing and fellowship with Rev. Marvin Lucas bringing the sermon.

• Change of place and time The Marshall County Board of Education will have their regular board meeting, Tues., Feb. 10, 6 p.m. at Potts Camp School, 7050 Church Ave., Potts Camp.

• 3-D (Diet, Discipline & Discipleship), Christ-Centered Weight Loss Group will meet Tuesday nights at Victoria Heights Baptist Church. Weigh-in 5:30-6, meeting 6-7 p.m. For info. call Marion Pryor, 662-274-4893.

• Community work day Friendship Assembly of God will meet at 7:30 a.m. for Community Gym Work Day. If you would like to help in this project your efforts will be appreciated and make a difference to the young people of our community. • Recovery Meeting S O S Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evenings at 6 p.m. The group’s primary focus is drug addiction, alcoholism and the affected families.
