By SUE WATSON
Three people were arrested and charged in connection with the execution of a search warrant for a methamphetamine lab, according to Sheriff Kenny Dickerson.
The arrests were made in the evening Thursday, Dec. 17, at 33 Reau Cove, Grove of Cayce in the Byhalia area, he said.
Michael Watson Jr., 39, of 33 Reau Cove, Laurie Jenkins, 48, of 42 Nonconnah Drive, Byhalia, and Patrick Jefferies, 41, of 1133 Beatline Road, Tunica, were taken into custody and charged with possession of precursor chemicals, the sheriff said. Jenkins and Jefferies have been released on $10,000 bond, while Watson is being held at the Marshall County Jail on bond revocation on previous charges in Marshall County.
Officers seized $25,000 in currency and a 2002 Lexis during the search of the residence. The warrant was executed by officers with the Third Judicial Narcotics Enforcement team, with the Marshall County Sheriff’s office and with the Byhalia Police Department.
