this past Sunday on, the games in the NFL take on an entirely new hue.
Their drive is not colored by who or which team will go to the Super
Bowl, but rather who is going to make the playoffs. As one coach put it
over the weekend, “There are still a lot of games left to play.”
Actually, going into Sunday there were just four games left on regular
schedules, with the exception of Cleveland and Pittsburgh. But I
suppose if you are a coach in this league, four games this time of year

Lady Cardinals’ head coach, Tana Miller, in her third season, has met
the Lady Falcons only once before. But that was with a much different

Camp, Ingomar might have gotten an inkling of just what was in store.
The Lady Falcons were by no means shrinking violets and the scoring was
two for two for most of the opening quarter. And Ingomar managed to end

Hawks go to 11-1 The Holly Springs Hawks upped their win streak to seven Friday night with a 79-43 rout of Ruleville. It upped the Hawks’ overall mark to 11-1 and their Region 3-3A record to 2-0. Full Story
Lady Patriots beat West Memphis; MA boys fall to Black Knights By BARRY BURLESON Editor Marshall Academy split a pair of district games Tuesday of last week at West Memphis. The Lady Patriots turned back the Lady Knights 53-49, while the Patriots fell 61-55. Full Story
Potts Camp squads open district with wins Potts Camp basketball teams tipped off its Region 2-1A slate December 8 with a sweep just down the road at West Union. Coach Tana Miller’s Lady Cardinals remained undefeated with a nerve-racking 69-67 win over the Lady Eagles. Full Story

Indians beat Lafayette to start district By BARRY BURLESON Editor Byhalia High School opened Region 2-4A play last week with a split at Lafayette. The Byhalia boys got 18 points from Kenyatta Jones in an 83-68 win over the Commodores. Full Story
