Williams Medical Clinic adopts Holly Springs Public Schools
Williams Medical Clinic offered free H1N1 vaccinations at Holly Springs High School Nov. 19. Primary school children received their vaccinations Nov. 18. Primary school children ages 9 and under will receive their second vaccination the first week in December. Holly Springs Intermediate School students will receive their vaccinations after the Thanksgiving holidays.
Williams Medical Clinic is committed to the health and wellness of our community and takes a leadership role in providing information and health care to the community.
The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends that certain groups of the population receive the 2009 H1N1 vaccine first. These target groups include pregnant women, people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age, healthcare and emergency medical services personnel, persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old, and people 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
