Holly Springs High School designated Quality School
Representatives of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) were in town recently to evaluate Holly Springs High School. SACS is the accrediting body for all educational institutions in the southeast United States. Without its accreditation, a school’s or college’s diploma is not considered valid by the rest of the academic community.
Holly Springs High School was reaffirmed as a Quality School. The school was commended especially for changing the school’s climate and for reinforcing positive student behavior, for its instructional methodology, and for determining students’ individual learning styles.
The committee recommended that the school find ways to involve more non-committed parents, update its technology plan to better infuse technology in the teaching and learning process, and send ambassadors into the community to generate more community appreciation of and involvement in the school.
Good work, Mr. Richardson, faculty, staff, and students!
