Investigators
with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department made arrests in several
burglaries in October and November, according to sheriff Kenny
Dickerson. Four suspects were arrested and
charged with the burglary of a residence on Blackwater Road November
10, around noon, he said. Five guns and a CD player were taken from the
residence. Arrested and charged with burglary of
a residence in the Blackwater Road investigation are Thaddeus Johnson,
19, of 400 Ridgecrest Drive, Holly Springs; Theodore Walker, 18, of 253
Minor Street, Holly Springs; Rico Wells, 19, of 891 Old Oxford Road,
Waterford; and Quinton McLemore, 19, of 170 Shadow Lane, Holly Springs,
Dickerson said. The guns were recovered. Investigators
made four arrests in connection with a grand larceny of a shotgun from
a residence on Higdon Road October 30 around 7 p.m., according to
Dickerson. Thaddeus Johnson, Theodore Walker, Quinton McLemore and
Courtney Walker, 19, of 135 Randolph Street, Apartment C, in Holly
Springs, were charged with grand larceny in the Higdon Road theft, he
said. The shotgun was recovered. A third
investigation of the theft of four radiators, four cooling systems,
three cast iron pots and two skill saws from a residence on Old Highway
7 South in the Waterford area yielded one suspect, Rico Wells, who was
charged with grand larceny in connection with the theft, Dickerson
said. The materials were sold for scrap metal and only one skill saw
was recovered, he said. Bond for the suspects was
set at $75,000 for Johnson, $40,000 for Theodore Walker, $25,000 for
McLemore, $30,000 for Courtney Walker, and $25,000 for Wells, the
sheriff said. Wells was released on bond on Tuesday of this week. Dickerson
said several residential burglaries and break-ins in Holly Springs are
expected to be solved and more arrests and charges made arising from
information obtained during the investigation of this burglary ring.
