William Lewis Clark Sr.
William Lewis Clark Sr., 68, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 4, 2009 at his home. He was the widower of Betty Lee Clark and a carpenter.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Crofford officiated.
He leaves a son, William Lewis Clark of Sardis; a daughter, Sandra Faye White of Batesville; two brothers, William Alton Clark, Raymond Dudley Clark, both of Batesville; three sisters, Mary Ruth Reichert of Batesville, Sandra Kay Harris of Batesville, Linda Dianne Patton of Courtland; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Aaron Jones, 66, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 5, 2009 at his home. He was the widower of Jerlene Crump Jones. He was a church deacon, a member of the male chorus, a member of Men of Faith, a member of Men’s Ministry and a retired laborer with Marshall County.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10 at Mt. Moriah MB Church in Holly Springs, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Dr. R.J. Wilson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a daughter, Jessie Sanderson-Banks of North Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Ruby Jones of Byhalia, Minnie White of Memphis, Tenn.; eight brothers, Douglas Jones, Uesther Jones, Eddie Jones, all of Holly Springs, Emmitt Jones of Byhalia, James Jones of Gary, Ind., Almus Jones, Joe Jones, both of Chicago, Ill., Percy Jones of Rex, Ga.; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lela Johnson.
Nelson Mays Jr.
Nelson Mays Jr., 59, of Coldwater, died Nov. 2, 2009 at his home. He was a factory worker.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 7 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Coldwater. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two daughters, Khan Mays of Coldwater, Jamecca Nolan of Byhalia; three sons, Eugene Hunt of Coldwater, Taurus Mays of Coldwater, Daruis Nolan of Byhalia; five sisters, Ella Mays, Schery Mays, Angela Newsom, all of Coldwater, Hazel Patterson of Memphis, Tenn., Carolyn Mays of Senatobia; six brothers, Henry Miller of Coldwater, William Miller, Willie B. Young, both of Memphis, Tenn., Jessie D. Mays of Hernando, Joe Lee Mays, Billy Mays, both of Coldwater; and nine grandchildren.
Larry Eugene Stidham
Larry Eugene Stidham, 53, of Byhalia, died Oct. 26, 2009 at his home. He was a truck driver.
Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Sandra Deere; a son, Kevin Miller of Byhalia; his mother, Ellen Stidham of Byhalia; two stepsons, John Deere of Byhalia, Brian Bridges of Arab, Al; two stepdaughters, Catherine Deere of Byhalia, Jennifer Dobbins of Southaven; three brothers, Dennis Stidham of Byhalia, Jeffrey Stidham of St. Petersburg, Fla., Johnny Reed of Dallas, Tx.; a sister, Joanne Shaw of Arkadelphia, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.
Patricia Ferrell Stroupe
Patricia Ferrell Stroupe, 74, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 7, 2009 at her home. She was a member of Ashland Baptist Church. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Ashland Cemetery.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Neil Stroupe; a daughter, Stephanie Stroupe of Germantown, Tenn.; a son, Eric Johnson Stroupe of Holly Springs; and five grandchildren.
Henrine Jeffries Womack
Henrine Jeffries Womack, 64, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 4, 2009 in Dallas, Tx. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Jan. 17, 1999.
She leaves her husband of 45 years, Carlton Womack; daughters, Carla R. Roberson, Carrine Y. Sibanda, Carlitha Womack; sisters and brothers Louvenia Martin of Cleveland, Ohio, Minnie A. Jeffries Lilly of Painesville, Ohio, Larry Martin of Holly Springs, Madora Mae Funderburk of Cleveland, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by a sister, Beauty Bernal, a brother, Herman Jeffries, and a grandson, Kholwani Sibanda.
