• Veterans Day celebration honoring local veterans, 6:30 p.m. at the Ida B. Wells Museum, 220 N. Randolph. Everyone is welcome to come and learn about American and African American soldiers who served their country. For more info. call 252-3232. Refreshments will be served.

• REVIVAL Holy Ghost filled revival at the Mt. Sinai C.O.G.I.C. of Mt. Pleasant starting Wednesday, Nov. 11 through Friday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m. nightly. Conducted by Evangelist Kenneth Hollingsworth of Las Vegas, Nevada. Everyone is invited. Pastor is Elder Curtis Pritchard.

• PTA MEETING Holly Springs Intermediate School will have a PTA meeting, 5:30 p.m., in the School Library. Shelia Walton, PTA president, asks all parents with children at the Intermediate School to attend.

November 14

• Fellowship supper Victoria United Methodist Church will host a fellowship supper consisting of chili, soup, sandwiches, and dessert on Sat., Nov. 14, 5-7:30 p.m. All are invited to attend and meet your friends and neighbors.

• UDC meeting The Edward Carey Walthall chapter of the UDC will hold its monthly meeting Sat., Nov. 14, at the Marshall County library. All ladies interested in Civil War history are invited. New officers were elected in Sept.

• Singing New Hope Baptist Church Hwy. 72 Slayden, Sat., Nov. 14, starting at 7 p.m. Featured group will be The Barnetts from Stanton, Tenn. Fellowship supper will follow singing. Bro. Billy Adair and congregation invite everyone to attend.

• 48 Angels program The Ark of Safety Outreach Ministries will have their 48 Angels program at 2:30 p.m. The church is located next to Grady’s Meat Market, Red Banks. Pastor and wife are Bruce and Doris Williams.

• Singing Union Sun., Nov. 15, at 3 p.m., Chulahoma M.B. Church will host the West Holly Springs Singing Union. Everyone is invited to attend. Rev. Ronnie Franklin, host pastor.

• Revival Victoria Heights Baptist Church located at U.S. 78, Exit 18, is having a fall revival. Sunday morning services 11 a.m. with potluck Thanksgiving meal following services. Sunday evening services will be held at 5 p.m.; and Monday-Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Ray Meadows is guest speaker. Pastor David Bickers invites all.

• SENIOR CITIZENS DAY will be held at Smith Grove, 9 a.m. Minister Joseph “Joe” Johnson of the EchoAires will be the guest speaker. All are invited.

• REVIVAL Winborn Methodist Church will have a revival beginning Monday, Nov. 16 with Thanksgiving meal at 6 p.m. and services at 7 p.m.; and Tuesday with services at 7 p.m. Rev. Doc Shelton will be guest speaker. Special singing both nights. Everyone is welcome.

• MEETING The Marshall County Humane Society will have its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the VFW, Hwy. 7 South, in Holly Springs. Everyone is welcome.

November 18

• Thanksgiving meal Free communitywide Thanksgiving meal will be held at Slayden Baptist Church, 2534 Hwy. 72 at 6 p.m. Please call the church office with reservations by Thursday, November 12, 662-252-4559. Deliveries will be made to homebound people only. Everyone is invited.

November 19

• CELEBRATION Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce hosts annual Chamber Celebration, 6-9 p.m. at BardenStone, 89 Edwards Rd., Byhalia. Music will be by “Blue Denim.” Call 838-8127 or email vickie@gobyhalia.com. $15 each person, $20 without reservation.

• Spaghetti supper Calvary Baptist Church of Lamar is hosting a spaghetti supper at the Benton County Fairgrounds, Hwy. 5, Ashland, 5:30-8 p.m. The benefit will be held at the conference center and the proceeds will benefit home missions projects such as Coldwater Baptist Children’s Village and Blue Mountain College Missionary Students. The plate will consist of spaghetti, salad, bread, peach cobbler, and a drink for $8. This is eat-in or take out. Door prizes will be given.

• Christmas in Byhalia, hosted by Town of Byhalia, at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Byhalia. There will be photos with Santa, Tree Lighting, a brand new lighting display donated by LCI, Inc., holiday music, free hot dogs and drinks.

• BENEFIT Fish fry and silent auction to benefit Hickory and Carol Henley, who have extensive medical bills, will be held at Cayce Fire Department, 30 Lee Creek Road, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Donations accepted.

November 21

• Benefit program by the Stars of Faith, for Sis. Betty Raimey, Sat., Nov. 21, 6 p.m. at Kimbrough Chapel MB Church in Lamar. The public is invited.

• PRAYER BREAKFAST St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church will have a prayer breakfast, 9 a.m. Rev. Joe Tunstall, pastor of Free Branch M.B. Church will be guest speaker. Rev. Andrew Cheairs is pastor. For tickets call Gazella Hall or Lee Walker, 662-838-4774.

• singing Bethel UMC (Benton County), Sat., Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. Singers are: Lanell (Hunt) Hutcheson, Mickey Basil, Ben Coleman, Mitch Stone, Jr. and the Union County UMC Charge Singers. Free barbecue supper after the singing in the church fellowship hall. Love offering will be taken with all proceeds going to the building fund. November 22

• Appreciation service The Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant will be having an appreciation service for Minister Raymond and Sister Jorena Pritchard, 3 p.m. Special guests will be Elder Napoleon Lesueur and Tabernacle of Prayer of Holly Springs; and Concord Mass Choir of Slayden. Everyone is invited.

• Homecoming Emory Independent Methodist Church will be holding their annual homecoming services and meal on November 22 at 11 a.m.
