Michael R. Bright Michael R. Bright, 46, of Potts Camp, died October 8, 2009. Services were held Oct. 12, 2009. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery. He
leaves his wife, Lisa Bright; two sons, Devin R. Bright of Byhalia,
Matt Bright of Potts Camp; his mother, Betty Bright of Water Valley; a

Belinda Clayton, 49, of Hickory Flat, died Oct. 19, 2009 at Baptist East in Memphis, Tenn. She was Pentecostal. Services

Madalyn Jalee Coopwood, 30 days old, of Holly Springs, died Oct. 21, 2009 at her home. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 24 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

Malcolm Rex
Culver, 58, of the Cayce community near Byhalia, formerly of Fayette
County, died Sept. 30, 2009 at his home. He was a truck owner and
operator. A former Somerville resident, he received his education in
the Fayette County Public School System. He later relocated to the
Cayce Community near Byhalia. He was a member of the Macon United
Methodist Church. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3 at
Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Burial was in Macon Cemetery
at Macon, Tenn. Rev. Wayne Craig of Warren Community Church officiated.
He leaves his companion, Karen Taylor of Byhalia; his daughter,
Stephanie G. Culver Skelton of Somerville; his don, Kevin D. Culver of
Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Charlene Glover of Somerville, Juanita
Fitzgerald of Walnut, Mary E. Tatum of Somerville; three brothers, Troy
Culver of Somerville, Delbert Culver of Millington, Jerry Wayne Culver
of Oakland; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles

Davidson, 73, of Chicago, Ill., died Oct. 8, 2009. He attended St. Mary
of Holly Springs. He worked at the United States Main Post Office,
Downtown Chicago, for 34 years in the field of electrical engineering. Services were held Oct. 17 at St. Kilian Church, Chicago. Pastor father Vanecho officiated. He
leaves his wife, Charlesetta Davidson; four daughters, Audrey Davidson

Greer, 91, of Holly Springs, died Oct. 21, 2009 at Baptist
Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. She was the widow of Leroy Greer. She was
a retired bus driver with Bishop Byrne School in Memphis, Tenn. and the
oldest mother in her church. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Oct.
26 at Powell Chapel MB Church, where she was a member. Burial was in

Boothe Malone, 98, of Cordova, Tenn., formerly of Waterford, died Oct.
20, 2009 at her home. She was the widow of Will C. Malone. She was a
member of Mt. Pisgah MB Church in Cordova, a member of the mother’s
board and Sunday school. Services were held at 12 noon on Oct. 27
at Hamilton Chapel CME Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev.

Massey, 64, of Hickory Flat, died Oct. 22, 2009 at Graceland Care
Center in New Albany. He was a disabled timber cutter (logger) with
Gilliam Home Logging Company. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Oct. 29 at Reid’s Gift MB Church in Potts Camp, where he was a member.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Jerry Williams will

Ann Minor, 62, of Waterford, died Oct. 24, 2009 at her home. She worked
for many years at two of the local Holly Springs florists. Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 28 at Spring Hill Baptist Church, where
she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Holly Springs

husband, Ray Minor; three sons, Danny Ray Minor, David Carl Minor,
Darron Lee Minor, all of Waterford; two sisters, Maxine Palmer of
Waterford, Carnell Minor of Jackson; and three grandsons. Virginia L. Moore Virginia L. Moore, 85, of Holly Springs, died Oct. 22, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. Services
were held at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. She leaves
three daughters, Shirley Gallina of Tipton County, Tenn., Barbara

died Oct. 20, 2009 at her home. She was the widow of Frank Reynolds.
She was a retired seamstress with Memphis Furniture. Services
were held at 12 noon on Oct. 28 at Olivet Fellowship Baptist Church in
Memphis, Tenn., where she was a member. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial

her great-nephew, who was her caregiver, Martin Vinson of Memphis,

Henry (Pee Wee) Stinson, 70, of Holly Springs, died Oct. 17, 2009 at
his home. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Paul CME
Church in Lake Center. He was a well-known contractor and builder in
Marshall County. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 at
Serenity Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Ayers Cemetery in Lake
Center. Rev. Tony Wilkins officiated. He leaves three sons,
Lawrence E. Stinson, Anthony Stinson, Orlando Stinson, all of Holly
Springs; two daughters, Vera Mae Stinson of Holly Springs, Rosita Poe
of Lake Center; four sisters, Rosie Payton of Holly Springs, Doris
Beard, Betty Robin, Nellene Rhodes, all of Fayeteville, NC; 11
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Annie Crane; and two grandchildren, Lamont and Deanna. Pallbearers
