| Police nab several suspects Holly Springs police officers made arrests and investigated two burglaries and a grand larceny for the week ending October 18. An
auto burglary was reported on Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the 100 block of
East Gholson after the owner discovered her red, four-door Oldsmobile
Sierra had been broken into. A Sony remote CD player was stolen. Officers
responded to a grand larceny report in the 100 block of Clarice Drive
Tuesday, Oct. 13. The owner reported $500 in cash missing. A burglary was reported in the 100 block of Jarrott Street, but nothing was found missing. Chief Robert Pearson reported four arrests. Edheldredge Balfour, 18, of Holly Springs, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 15 and charged with armed robbery, he said. Ricardo Whitelow, 28, of Holly Springs, was arrested Friday, Oct. 16 and charged with aggravated assault, according to Pearson. Corenzo L. Walker, 21, of Holly Springs, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 16, and charged with burglary, he said. Marco
Antonio Rooks, 24, of Holly Springs, was arrested on Sunday, October
18, and charged with burglary and four counts of uttering forgery,
according to Pearson. Officers responded to these
additional activities for the week – driving while license suspended,
3; no driver’s license, 2; no proof of insurance, 5; speeding, 4; no
tag, 1; careless driving, 1; driving under the influence, 1;
trespassing, 1; disturbance of the family peace, 1; public drunk, 1;
and domestic violence, 1.
