Tasting victory
The
Potts Camp junior varsity football team kicked off its inaugural season
Saturday afternoon with a 14-12 win over Union County. Sawyer Goode
(16) and head coach Shane Stone celebrate the win. Javeon Allen scored
the Cardinals’ two touchdowns, plus the two-point conversion in
overtime that spelled victory. The Potts Camp junior high squad also
won its game by the same final score, 14-12. Jordan Harris rushed for
well over 100 yards in that contest, including touchdown carries of 70
and 10 yards and a two-point conversion. “The kids were very excited
and having a blast,” Coach Stone said. “We had a great crowd and
everyone was having a great time. Hopefully, it’s the first step in a
long history of good football.” |
