Members of the Holly Springs Rotary Club got a sneak preview of the new and improved Marshall County Historical Museum Wednesday of last week.
And it was an impressive look. We were all in awe of the remodeled facility and its wonderful exhibits. We could have spent hours there, but we all had to go back to work.
Perhaps Marshall Countians themselves are not aware of what a tremendous asset this museum is to our community. If you have not visited the museum yourself, please do so. See it for yourself.

One more wild weekend
This is the third weekend in a row that I’ve not been at home. And I have to say, it’s getting kinda old! But, I do have so much fun...
This weekend we drove over to Searcy, Ark., where my late mother and late sister lived.
My brother-in-law Gene still lives there, along with an assortment of children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren! (My sister was quite a bit older than I.)
The Preacher’s Corner
Grandma Reid always remembered the Sabbath
In the picture that accompanies this column, the lady rolling the dice is Grandma Reid, the only great-grandmother I ever had. Grandma Reid was not really my great-grandmother; she was my cousin Bill’s. But because I was the only child of older parents and their grandparents had passed away long before I was born, Grandma Reid functioned for me in a great-grandparently role. As you can see from the picture, she always had room for one more child, and I adored her.
