MA homecoming court

Marshall Academy’s homecoming festivities will take place next week, October 19-23. The Patriots will host Oak Hill Academy in the homecoming football game Friday, Oct. 23, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. The court will be presented during halftime ceremonies, concluding with the crowning of the 2009 homecoming queen. In front are crown bearer Chaz Briscoe and flower girl Cassie Dougan. In back, from left, are Emma Elgin (sophomore), Claire Liddy (junior), Casey Gibson (senior), Kristin Mynatt (senior), Sara Walker (senior), Chrissy Farris (junior) and Sarah Holloway (sophomore). The theme for homecoming week, which will include lots of activities, is “MA Land.”

Junior Beta Club sponsors pageant

The Junior Beta Club sponsored the Fall Pageant on September 19 at Potts Camp School.

The following participants placed according to the respective age groups:

Girls, 0-2: 2nd Alternate, Chloe Elizabeth Overall; 1st Alternate, Zoe Elizabeth Clark; Most Beautiful, Lynleigh Alyse Tatum

Boys, 0-2: 2nd Alternate, Preston Allen Bing; 1st Alternate, Alden Blake Gilmer; Most Handsome, Chase Landon Thompson

Girls, 3-4: 2nd Alternate, Rahni Lianna McKeown; 1st Alternate, Annabelle Grace Johnson; Most Beautiful, Abby Grace Sanders

Boys: 3-5: 1st Alternate, Rey Antonio Noguez Miranda; Most Handsome, Julian Mark Bing

Girls, 5: 2nd Alternate, Modesty Renee Madison Contreras; 1st Alternate, Allyssa Lynn Skelton; Most Beautiful, Lauren Grace Russom

Girls, 6-8: 2nd Alternate, Emma Elisse Feathers; 1st Alternate, Kristen Snow; Most Beautiful, Laken Vanzant

Girls, 9-12: 2nd Alternate, Denise Taylor; 1st Alternate, Makaha Jewel Martin; Most Beautiful, Avery Grace Shaw

Boys: 9-12: 1st Alternate, Marlon Montrell Kimmons, Jr.; Most Handsome, Dillon Shaw Day
