Defense, two kicks lift MA to win

Marshall Academy put extra emphasis on defense in preparation for North Delta. It paid off.
The Patriots limited the Green Wave to just 65 total yards and five first downs in a huge 6-0 district win Friday night at home.
Indians fall to ’Dores

Hawks lose on long road trip

Holly Springs’ second-half rally Friday night in the Delta came up short but showed lots of grit.
The Hawks fell behind Shelby Broad Street 16-0 but clawed back to within 16-12 in the fourth quarter and had a shot to win it before losing 22-12.

Junior Pats still perfect
Playing their second game in four days, the Marshall Academy junior high football team traveled to North Delta Thursday and came away with a 28-6 victory.
MA girls get win on Senior Day
The Marshall Academy soccer team found its pot of gold Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 22, a 3-1 home victory over Bayou Academy.
Coach Lance McGregor said before the season began, each player was assigned a color.
Team ends rebuilding season
The Marshall Academy Lady Patriots’ softball team wrapped up its 2009 season recently with three games.
The Lady Patriots held the annual “Senior Recognition Day” with a game against Magnolia Heights.
