The Marshall County Planning Commission will meet for their regular
scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the
Marshall County Zoning Office at 590 Old Highway 78-East, Holly
Springs,Mississippi. The public is invited to attend.

ITEM 1: Mrs. Linda C.Cartwright has the option to purchase Lot #8 of

TO THE TAXPAYERS OF THE HOLLY SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT, HOLLY SPRINGS,

You are hereby notified pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. §26-105-367(2)(b)
that the Holly Springs School Board intends to transfer a cash surplus
of $13,393.89 from its Three Mill Note Debt Service Fund (Fund 4024) to
its G. O. Refunding Bond Debt Service Fund (Fund 4032). The
Three Mill Debt Service Fund was authorized to pay the debt service of
Three Mill Notes issued by the Holly Springs School District; the funds
are surplus because the Three Mill Note has been fully paid.
Pursuant to state statute, the monies shall be transferred by order of
the board unless within thirty days of the first publication of this
order on July 23, 2009, a petition against the proposed transfer,
signed by twenty percent (20%) or fifteen hundred (1,500), whichever is
less, of the qualified electors residing in the Holly Springs School
District files with the Holly Springs School District a petition
against the proposed transfer, in which case there shall be a
referendum concerning the transfer.

Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the FAMILIES FIRST RESOURCE CENTER,
Mississippi Department of Human Services.
The Mississippi Families First Resource Center (FFRC) RFP has been
amended with a change in the submission date. The Mississippi
Department of Human Services (MDHS) will accept sealed proposals during
business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. until August 17,2009, at the
MDHS State Office Building Lobby, 750 North State Street, Jackson MS
39202, or by mail at P.O. Box 352, Jackson. MS 39205-0352, for the
purpose of soliciting proposals from interested parties who can most
effectively and cost-efficiently administer a Families First Resource
Center (FFRC). Proposals will be accepted from organizations currently
established as Families First Resource Centers (FFRC) and providing
abstinence, healthy marriage, parenting and fatherhood education
classes to families in Mississippi. The Program shall also provide a
variety of family support services, which enhance/strengthen the
ability of parents to respond to their children in a positive manner,
stabilize the family unit, prevent teenage pregnancies, increase
parenting skills and knowledge and prevent serious disruptions in
family life. All services are provided at no charge to the youth and
their families. The proposal must address all of the following services:
1. Abstinence-Until-Marriage Education
2. Healthy Marriage Education
3. Responsible Fatherhood Training
4. Parenting Skills Training
