| Police investigate burglaries Holly Springs
police investigated two business burglaries, one residential burglary
and one attempted burglary last week, according to chief Robert Pearson. A
business in the 300 block of Van Dorn was burglarized after a south
window was broken out, he said. The owner arrived at the business
around 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, to find the window broken and 300
clients’ tax information, two cream-colored filing cabinets and a Dell
computer and one Dell Notebook computer taken. A
residential burglary in the 300 block of West Park on Wednesday, July
8, resulted in nothing missing after the back door of the residence had
been kicked in. Officers responded to a burglary
call in the 500 block of Clay Products Road on Saturday, July 11. A
window was broken out but nothing reported missing. An
attempted burglary in the 500 block of Highway 178 East on Sunday, July
12, resulted in nothing missing but damage to the front door was
reported. Officers arrested Jarvis Collins, 17, of Holly Springs Friday, July 10 on charges of robbery, Pearson said. Other
activities reported by police for the week ending July 13 included - no
driver’s license/expired license (2), no proof of insurance (3), petit
larceny (1), malicious mischief (3), simple assault (1), and disturbing
the family peace (1).
