| New Albany hosting soccer camp New Albany Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up to host the week-long Challengers’ British Soccer Camp during the week of July 27-31 at the Sportsplex. The camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development, technical and tactical practices and daily tournament style play, each child will also be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. New Albany Parks and Recreation is offering British Soccer Camp sessions for the following ages – ages 3-4, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., $68; ages 4-6, 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., $83; ages 6-14, 9 a.m. to noon, $107; ages 10-18, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., $107. Each camper will receive a free camp T-shirt, soccer ball, giant soccer poster and an individual skills performance evaluation. Space is limited. Parents are encouraged to sign up online in advance to avoid disappointment.
