Police make two arrests
Holly Springs police investigated a burglary and made two arrests last week, according to chief Robert Pearson.
Officers responded to a burglary report in the 400 block of Craft Street Friday, June 26. Owners reported a 26-inch Savannah flat-screen television, a 26-inch Visco flat-screen television, a Play-Station 3 with two games, 100 DVDs and 150 CDs, an MP3 Player, HD card and an RCA theater system missing, Pearson said.
Corenzo L. Walker, 20, of Holly Springs, was arrested on Friday, June 26, and charged with burglary and domestic violence-simple assault, he said.
Also arrested on Friday, he said, was Alan T. Smith, 38, of Okolona, who was charged with embezzlement.
Officers responded to these additional activities for the week ending June 29 - driving while license suspended, 4; no driver’s license, 3; no proof of insurance, 1; expired tag, 1; possession of a controlled substance, 1; disregard for a traffic device, 1; handicapped parking, 1; careless driving, 1; and resisting arrest, 1.
