Mr. and Mrs. Troy Wright of Holly Springs announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Martisha Shavell Evans to Jacob Albert Kennedy. The bride-elect is the daughter of Troy and Patricia Wright and the late Robert Lee Evans. She is the granddaughter of John and Onnie Mae Washington and the late Roosevelt and Adleana Harris of Ashland. Martisha is a 2003 graduate of Holly Springs High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a B.S. degree in paralegal services. The prospective groom is the son of Emory Kennedy and the late Marcie Kennedy of Kosciusko. He is the grandson of the late Albert and Earnestine McMichael. Jacob is a 2003 graduate of Ethel High School in Kosciusko. The wedding ceremony will be held at Hernando Road Church of Christ in Holly Springs on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 4 p.m. An adult reception will immediately follow the ceremony at Promise Land Country Club located at 564 Woodward Avenue in Holly Springs. The couple will spend a one-week honeymoon on the beautiful island of Jamaica and make their home in Southaven. Friends and family are invited to share in this joyous occasion. Kalee Hall and Gary Stanton Jr. to wed May 30 in private ceremony
Richard and Gabby Hall of New Albany are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Kalee Beth Hall of New Albany to Gary Stanton Jr. of Potts Camp. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Delois and Matt White of Brooksville, and Etna Wood and the late Joel Hall of New Albany. Kalee graduated from New Albany High School in 2004 and is also a 2008 graduate of Mississippi State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in secondary English education. She graduated magna cum laude. The prospective groom is the son of Gary and Leslie Stanton of Potts Camp. Gary is the grandson of Barbara Whaley and the late Richard Whaley and Thomas and Faye Stanton, all of Potts Camp. He graduated from Potts Camp Attendance Center in 2004. He is also a 2006 graduate from Northeast Community College with a degree in criminal justice. In addition, he is a graduate of Mississippi Highway Patrol Academy, and he is employed as a state trooper with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The couple will exchange vows May 30, 2009 at 5 p.m. in a private ceremony at the home of Joseph and Angie Everett. The officiating minister will be Bro. Giles Lindley. A reception will be held at the Oaks Country Club at 6 p.m. in New Albany. The reception is open to all family and friends.
