Carolyn Ruth Drewery
Carolyn Ruth Drewery, 58, of
Collierville, Tenn., died May 1, 2009 at her home. She was a Christian.
Private family services were held.
Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her son, Christopher A. Gray
of Collierville, Tenn.; three daughters, Janet L. Drewery, Sandra
McClain, both of Collierville, Tenn., Karen M. Drewery of Sarasota,
Fla.; a brother, Edgar Hicks of Texas; three sisters, Jean Johnson of
Orum, Utah, Francis Johnson of Jasper, Tenn., Mary Brown of Sarasota,
Fla. and four grandchildren.
DeUnte Andrae Fitzpatrick
DeUnte Andrae Fitzpatrick, 23, of
Williston, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died April 27, 2009 at
Fayette County Correctional Facility, Somerville, Tenn. He was a member
of Hillfield MB Church in Toone, Tenn.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on May
2 at Faith Temple COGIC in Slayden. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Elder Christopher Griggs officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his mother, Lela Pauline
Mitchell of Holly Springs; his father, Lee Eddie Fitzpatrick of
Slayden; his stepfather, Martin Calvin Mitchell of Grand Junction,
Tenn.; two sisters, Shantel Nichole Fitzpatrick of Oakland, Tenn.,
Julisa Nicole Mitchell of Grand Junction, Tenn.; a brother, Martin
Marquel Mitchell of Holly Springs; his grandmother, ReBertha Hodge of
Williston, Tenn.; and his grandfather, J.W. Hodge of Williston, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Elrico Crawford, Jevon
Adkins, Jovonta Crawford and Mark Fitzpatrick. Honorary pallbearers
were Charles Fitzpatrick, Itario Hodge, Steven Holcomb, Martin
Mitchell, Quincy Hodge and J.W. Hodge Jr.
Saddie Mae Williams
Saddie Mae Williams, 85, of Ashland,
died April 26, 2009 at Briarcrest Extended Care Home.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 2
at Shiloh MB Church in Ashland, where she was a member. Burial was in
the church cemetery. Rev. L.M. Bowers officiated. J.F. Brittenum and
Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She leaves a brother, Henry Louis
Strickland of Ashland; and three sisters, Mary Lizzie
Strickland of Ashland, Sallie Williams-Vaughn, Annie B. Williams, both
of Memphis, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Jimmy D. Hunt, Fred
Strickland, James Strickland, Harvey Strickland Jr., Michael Strickland
and Roy Strickland. Honorary pallbearers were John Henry Bostick and
Stephen Bostick.
L.B. Young
L.B. (Pig) Young, 80, of Chicago,
formerly of Michigan City, died April 24, 2009 at his home. He was the
widower of Josephine Bynum Young.
Services were held at 12 noon on May 2
at Sims Chapel MB Church in Michigan City, where he was a member.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Adam Gholson officiated. J.F.
Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves two daughters, Joann Braddock
of Bolivar, Tenn., Taylor Bayliss of Walnut; five sons, L.B. Young Jr.
of Bolivar, Tenn., Dwight Young, Rickey Young, Alton Young, Michael
Young, all of Walnut; a sister, Irma Webber of Michigan City; a
brother, Melvin Young of Michigan City; 31 grandchildren, 25
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Corvell Young,
Jermaine Seals, Darryl Webber, Derrick Webber, Garry Webber and James
Webber.
