Alliance HealthCare System, Williams Medical Clinic and the Alliance Charitable Foundation of Marshall County are hosting the ninth annual Eddie L. Smith Community Health Fair on Thursday, May 14.
It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Eddie L. Smith Jr. Multi-Purpose Building, 235 North Memphis Street, Holly Springs.
This year’s theme, “A Healthy Commitment in Changing Times,” also is the theme for National Hospital Week.

Free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and body density tests will be available at no charge. In addition, coupons for free PSA tests used to detect prostate cancer will be available for men. There will be a variety of booths distributing information on the many health-related programs, services, and providers available in our town and surrounding area. Hot dogs and beverages will be served for lunch.
This year, the Health Fair is focusing exclusively on adults and organizers anticipate an attendance of approximately 500 people. On leaving, all attendees will be asked to fill out a health indicators survey and then be given a free T-shirt.
The members of the Health Fair committee are very excited about this year’s Health Fair and look forward to providing the community with information about their health and available health care.
