The Holly Springs High School boys track team keeps adding to the school’s trophy case. The Hawks won their fourth straight district championship Thursday at Charleston. And the final results weren’t close. Full Story
Potts Camp sweeps first in district Potts
Camp’s boys and girls eased to district track championships Saturday at
Coldwater – the Cardinals winning by 23 points and the Lady Cards by 20. The
Cardinals scored 77, well ahead of second-place Coldwater with 54.
Taking third and fourth, respectively, were Ashland (42) and Strayhorn

week’s column had already been strung up to dry by the time Dr. David
Beckley (president of Rust College) had returned from the Final Four
and dropped by The South Reporter office. For the last few years, David
has brought a memento back from the collegiate finals for yours truly.
I really appreciate the gift and gesture, but there is a nagging
feeling that he is just “trying to rub it in.” Thanks, David, I’ll
