April 8, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Services
were held at 11 a.m. on April
11 at Friendship Assembly of God, where she was a member. Burial was in
Byhalia Cemetery. Bro. Virgil Scherff officiated. Holly Springs Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
She
leaves her husband, Jerry Bing;
three sons, Jerry Davis Bing of Kentucky, Larry Bing of Oxford, Carl
Bing of Batesville; a daughter, Anita Shoffner of Byhalia; eight
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Melvie V. Norfleet Gulledge
Melvie
V. Norfleet Gulledge, 86, of Red
Banks, died April 6, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis,
Tenn. She was a member of Land Mark Temple in Holly Springs, a Sunday
school teacher, Bible class teacher, missionary, altar worker, prayer
band leader and retired seamstress with General Motors in Detroit,
Mich., after 10 years.
Services
were held at 11 a.m. on April
11 at Isom Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs. Burial was in the church
cemetery. Elder Robert Harris Sr. officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She
leaves her husband, Henry Gulledge;
seven daughters, A. Belinda Gulledge, Clareatha Williams, Gloria
Gulledge, Rowena Gulledge, VeEsther Gulledge, all of Detroit, Mich.,
Geraldine Looney of Romulus, Mich., Eva Harris of Belleville, Mich.; a
son, Willie Gulledge of Farmington Hills, Mich.; two sisters, Dotsie
Carter of Detroit, Mich., Maxine Freeman of Chicago, Ill.; 17
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was Catholic and employed in production with American Can Co.

North Arlington, NJ. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of

April 11, 2009 at Briarcrest Extended. She was a lifelong member of
Ashland Baptist Church.

14 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Ashland
Cemetery.
She
leaves three brothers, Robert J.
Nutt, Johnny F. Nutt, Van Dee Nutt, all of Ashland; and two sisters,
Sallie Nutt Mason of Jackson; Martha Nutt Holliday of Ripley.
She
was preceded in death by a brother,
William L. Nutt.
Timothy Keith Poe
Timothy
Keith Poe, 51, of Olive Branch,
died April 9, 2009 at his home. He was a recreational therapist at
North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia. He was a member of the
Soggy Bottom Hunting Club, a graduate of the University of Memphis and
volunteered at Central Church.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on April
13 at Brantley Funeral Home Chapel in Olive Branch. Burial was in
Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery near Potts Camp.
He leaves his wife, Jeanie Poe; a son,
Jonathan Poe of Olive Branch; his mother, Frances W. Poe of Snow Lake
Shores; a sister, Pat Boston of Snow Lake Shores; a brother, Wallace S.
Poe of Lorain, Ohio and two grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by a brother,
James C. Poe Jr.
