Several charged with crimes
By SUE WATSON
Two adults have been charged with grand larceny and five individuals have been charged with armed robbery in a separate incident, according to Sheriff Kenny Dickerson.
Rodney Craig Jones, 42, and Patricia Mey Jones, 36, of 395 Ramport Lane, Collierville, Tenn., were arrested February 27 and charged with the theft of a flat screen television and numbers of DVDs from the Holly Springs Funeral Home on February 25, Dickerson said. The defendants were arrested at their Collierville apartment where the television was recovered, he said.
The suspects were identified by surveillance camera video taken at the funeral home, Dickerson said. The suspects are out of jail on bond.
Five suspects, including one juvenile, were arrested following an armed robbery that took place in the parking lot at Flick’s BP in the early morning hours of March 9, Dickerson said.
“A couple of the defendants jumped the victim after he was pulled out of his truck, beaten badly and robbed,” Dickerson said. “Items from the victim’s billfold were located during the investigation at a location in Lake Center near Potts Camp.”
The suspects charged with armed robbery include, the juvenile, and Joshua Paul Keeling, 19, of Boundary Drive, Ashland; Dylan Hendrick, 17, of Lake Shore Drive Area of Potts Camp; Jeremy Dean Chism, 25, of the New Albany area; and Byron Miguel Alvarado, 17, of McKay Road in the Hickory Flat community.
All five suspects were released on bond and await future court action, Dickerson said
