Police investigate burglaries
Holly Spring police officers responded to three burglary calls and one larceny call last week, according to chief Robert Pearson.
An Apple Mac Book laptop computer was reported taken from a residence in the 200 block of West Valley Street, Monday, March 9, he said.
On March 11, officers responded to a burglary call in the 100 block of Park Avenue where a PlayStation 2 was reported missing.
Then on Saturday, March 14, officers responded to a burglary in the 300 block of Ventura Cove where the resident reported a 32” Magnavox flat screen TV, a 46” Toshiba flat screen TV and a Sony stereo missing.
A grand larceny of some contents in a parked vehicle in the 100 block of Alderson Street was reported March 9, Pearson said. A red fireman’s bag containing a helmet, a pair of Nomax gloves, a fire jacket with turn-out gear and a pair of boots were missing from a 1994 white Chevrolet pickup.
Officers responded to the following additional activities for the week ending March 16, including - driving while license suspended (3); no proof of insurance (3); speeding (3); expired tag (1); child restraint (2); petit larceny (1); domestic violence simple assault (3); simple assault (2); possession of a controlled substance (1); shoplifting (2); and hit and run (1).
