| State title games on TV Catch the play-by-play action of the 2009 Mississippi High School Activities Association Cellular South State Basketball Championships beginning Thursday, March 5 through Saturday, March 7, live on Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB). For the seventh season, MPB TV airs statewide the state high school basketball championships from the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. For game highlights, photo galleries, live blogs during each game, and to buy championship DVDs, visit www.mpbonline.org.
“Our mutual commitment to serve Mississippians is the basis of our partnership,” said Dr. Ennis Proctor, MHSAA executive director. “It’s exciting to know that because of the partnership between MPB and MHSAA, those who would not ordinarily be able to come to a game will be able to watch their teams on MPB TV.” “Mississippi Public Broadcasting is excited to be a part of this year’s basketball championships which are very important to parents, students and their communities supporting their schools and athletes,” said MPB executive director Marie Antoon. “MPB celebrates the great schools and students participating in the championship games.” |
