County offices flushing out cancer
By SUE WATSON
The Marshall County tax collector’s and tax assessor’s offices are teaming up to help raise money for the 2009 Relay For Life fund-raising effort for the American Cancer Society.
The novel idea to leave a purple toilet in front of businesses and charge to have it removed was taken from an Oxford business, ENT Consultants, which is using the same theme.
The purple throne is expected to be left as a surprise beginning the first week in March.
Cost for removal ranges from $20 to $40 dollars.
The tax offices will haul it away for $20, haul it away and specify the next target for $30, and haul it away with toilet insurance that guarantees the purple loo will not be left outside your business again this year for $40.
