Job fair succeeds, 48 employers participate
Forty-eight employers and nearly 500 job seekers participated in the Marshall-Benton Job Fair at the Multi-Purpose Building on February 19.
Sponsors of this year’s event included the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Department of Employment Security and WIN Job Center.
Refreshments, provided by McDuffy Enterprises McDonald’s and the Collins-Hurdle VFW Post #5697, were available to the employers as they conducted 127 on-site interviews and talked extensively with interested applicants.
Decorations were provided by Jennie’s Flowers and Gifts and Annie’s Restaurant, which also catered the luncheon.
It is expected that roughly 307 positions will be filled as a result of this year’s job fair.
