the 2007 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award Program. Adams
has excelled in the classroom, in extracurricular activities, in
athletics and in the community while at MA. He scored 32 on the ACT. He
plans to attend Ole Miss and major in business. Adams’
extracurricular activities include Fellowship of Christian Athletes,
Senior Beta Club, Key Club and yearbook staff, among others. His

Zach Ross Memorial Leadership Award, Academic Betterment Competition
participant, President’s Award for Educational Excellence, ACT Hall of

team, he helped lead the Patriots to the state championship game this
past season. They finished second in the state. Adams also played in
the Mississippi Private School Association all-star game and was a team
captain. He has also been a leader on the basketball floor for the
Patriots, who won the North State championship this season. Track
honors include second place in the state in the high jump and third
place in the long jump and triple jump. “I know
Brent (Adams) will be successful,” said MA headmaster Jane Hubbard. “He
has all the qualities it takes to be successful in life.” This
is the 14th year of the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award Program. The
program has set the standard for high school student-citizen-athletes
and gained tremendous prestige in its own right. Each fall, the program
recognizes the nation’s most esteemed high school senior men and women
for excellence in academics, community, service and athletics. It was
created through a partnership between Wendy’s, the Heisman Memorial
Trust and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Adams is the son of Gary and Lorena Adams of Holly Springs.
