Byhalia police go to 50 calls The Byhalia Police Department responded to 50 calls during the past week. Chief
Gary Looney released the following report – seven alarm calls, three
motor vehicle accidents, two disturbances, 13 escorts, two
animal-related calls, one juvenile-related call, six assists, two fires
and 14 miscellaneous calls. Police also made
seven arrests on the following charges – DUI and careless driving; DUI
1st, no seatbelt, no driver’s license and disregard for traffic device;
DUI other, no insurance, careless driving and seatbelt violation;
warrant, possession with intent; warrant, felony bad check; warrant,
failure to appear; driving while license suspended and open container.
