| Hannah leads Wichita State Clevin Hannah’s trip to Disney World was a good one. The
former Holly Springs High School Hawk was a top gun for the Wichita
State Shockers in games versus Siena and Michigan State in the Old
Spice Classic. It was held at The Milk House at the Disney Wide World
of Sports Complex. Hannah was named the Old Spice Player of the Game in the Shockers’ come-from-behind, 72-70 win over Siena. Hannah scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half. “I
just had to focus, get loose and do my thing,” Hannah said. “I’ve got
to shoot the ball, because that’s what I’m good at. I just had to come
out of my shell that I’ve been in and make shots.” Coach Gregg Marshall said, “He’s starting to get there. He had a nice day. I’m very happy with how we played.” In a 65-57 loss to Michigan State, Hannah led the Shockers with 19 points, nine of which came from behind the three-point line. Wichita State lost to Georgetown, 58-50, in round one of the Old Spice Classic. Hannah
was named the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the
Week for his breakout performance the week of November 24-30. Hannah,
a transfer from Chipola Community College, averaged 12 points on 42.9
percent shooting in WSU’s four games during the stretch. The Shockers visited Texas Tech December 3, trailed by 17 at halftime and battled back before losing 72-69. Hannah finished with a career-high 24 points.
