• Lady Lions, Indians win Bi-County again

H.W. Byers Lady Lions celebrated three straight Bi-County Tournament
crowns Saturday, while the Byhalia Indians claimed their second
consecutive title.

all played out Saturday afternoon in the Georgia Dome. The number one
and number two teams in the nation and also the SEC met in a decisive
battle to not only determine the SEC champion for ’08 but also the
first team that would be above the radar of the BCS computers. This was
a first in NCAA history that the first two teams in a conference and
the first two teams in the nation would meet in a conference

Autry of Marshall Academy was selected for the Mississippi Private
School Association All-Star Football Game; however, Autry is injured
and could not play for the North team. The game was played last Friday
night in Robinson-Hale Stadium on the campus of Mississippi College in
Clinton. The North defeated the South 29-17. |

fifth installment of the Bi-County Tournament got underway on December
4 at the Asland High School gym. The opening game at 4 p.m. was a 7-5
