| Leadership Marshall seeks participants for new year Organizers of the 2009 Leadership Marshall class are calling on business, industry and elected officials to select employees to enroll in the next group. Individuals who are retired or who want to hone their leadership skills are also invited to enroll. Enrollees must make a commitment to a two-day retreat in January 2009 and classes one day a month through May 2009. Topics covered in the classes include issues of concern to business leaders such as stress management, conflict resolution, conducting successful meetings, and a review of the resources and assets in Marshall County. Classes are held at different locations each month so members can become acquainted with communities outside their own. Tuition is $249. Applications can be obtained from the Internet at www.hschamber.org or www.gobyhalia.com. The course is sponsored by the Holly Springs and Byhalia Area chambers of commerce and the Marshall County Extension office. Business sponsors are also needed. Businesses may choose to sponsor a luncheon for one of the training days. Sponsors receive in return signage at the luncheon, photographs in the local media, an opportunity to speak to the class about your business, and your business name is listed on monthly and the graduation programs. Prospective business sponsors may contact the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce at 1-662-838-8127 or the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce at 1-662-252-2943. |
