now application forms and other information relevant to enrolling at
Rust College can be downloaded. Ballard is a

productions and worked for two years as the marketing and
communications director for Dress for Success Memphis. Since being in
Memphis, she initiated operations with Women of Style, Spirit and
Success Inc., an organization she founded in 2004. Success Inc.

small businesses. She studied fine art at the
University of Akron in Ohio and later opened a custom design salon in
Indianapolis, Ind. In 1984, Ballard was nominated for the More Fashion
Awards sponsored by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She made her debut
as a wearable artist, specializing in painted textiles at the 1984
Winter’s Magic Artists Exhibition in Indianapolis. Ballard
has extensive interest in leather and suede and has used her creativity
to design apparel and home accessories owned by celebrities such as
Angela Bassett, Albertina Walker, Twinkie Clark, and Susan Taylor; and
professionals and women across the country. Ballard
worked in the clothing and related arts program at Tuskegee University
where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion merchandising
and a Master of Science degree in education. At Tuskegee, she helped
transition the program from clothing and related arts to fashion
merchandising. The mother of two, Ballard is excited about joining the
Rust College family and feels that this is another stop in the journey
God has prepared for her.
