Nov. 29, 2008 at Trinity Missions Nursing Home in Holly Springs. She
was the widow of Hubert Agnew and a member of Central Church.

(Tot) Allen, 84, of Holly
Springs, died Nov. 26, 2008 at her home. She was the widow of Clarence
Allen. She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Cemetery. Bro. Jim Polk officiated.
She
leaves a son, John Hardy Allen of
Marianna; two daughters, Viola Wallace of Olive Branch, Barbara Clifton
of Holly Springs; three sisters, Myrtis Newcomb of Ashland, Addie Mae
Allen of Ashland, Maggie Bolden of Holly Springs; a brother, J.W.
Skelton of Ashland; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by a
granddaughter, Camille Clifton.

Tenn., died Nov. 26, 2008 at Baptist Hospital Desoto. She was a
Methodist and a member of Getwell Rd. United Methodist Church.

on Nov. 30 at Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery in Ashland. Holly
Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

J. Bumpas, 76, of Mt. Pleasant,
died Nov. 22, 2008 at his home. He was a member of Cornerstone Church
of God. He was employed with Fruehauf Trailer for more than 25 years,
and an Army veteran.

Albany. She was the widow of T.J. (Ike) Bumpus.

Springs. She was the widow of Richard Forester. She was a member of

Hubbard, 61, of Nashville, Tenn.,
formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 17, 2008 at VA Tennessee Valley
Healthcare System in Nashville. He attended Mt. Zion MB Church in
Nashville and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a
retired floor technician with MeHarry Medical College.

were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 24
at St. Mark MB Church in Holly Springs, where he was a former member.
Burial was in Charity Hill Cemetery in Holly Springs. J.F. Brittenum

Terry Hurdle, 81, of Rossville,
Tenn., formerly of Benton County, died Nov. 22, 2008 at Baptist
Hospital in Collierville, Tenn. She was the widow of Bedford Hurdle.
She was a member of the church mother’s board, a former
church choir member and employee with Dewitt Correlation for Senior
Citizens. He was a retired machine operator with Troxel Manufacturing
Company in Moscow, Tenn.

were held at 12 noon on Nov.
29 at Hebron MB Church in Lamar where she was a member. Burial was in
the church cemetery. Rev. Adam Gholson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and

of Holly Springs, died Nov. 19, 2008 at her home. She was a member of
the church choir at Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was a
former member. She was a retired certified nursing assistant with
Trinity Mission HealthCare in Holly Springs.

26 at Pleasant Grove MB Church, where she was a member. Burial was in

Cordova, Calif.; a sister, Ada Mae Young of Omaha Neb.; nine

27, 2008 at Magnolia Regional Healthcare in Corinth. He was a heavy
machine operator for Freeland and Lemm Construction in Cordova, Tenn.,
a member of Houston First Baptist Church and he worked for Ashley
Furniture in Pontotoc.

was preceded in death by
grandparents Minnie Frank Marion and Wyillied Darrell Marion.
William Frank Moore Sr.
William
Frank Moore Sr., 87, of
Byhalia, died Nov. 30, 2008. After high school, he attended Mississippi
State University and University of Mississippi. At the beginning of
World War II, he worked at an ammunitions plant in Sylacauga, Ala.
After Pearl Harbor, he served the United States Army Air Corps as a
flight instructor in Pecos, Tx. He married his highschool sweetheart,
Doris Williams, in 1943 in Phoenix, Az. He was deployed overseas to the
Pacific Theatre as a transport pilot. After he returned home, he was a
farmer and cattleman and later served the United States Post Office. He
was a member of the Northcentral Electric Power Association board of
directors for 47 years and a member of the Byhalia Lions Club for 62
years.
Services
were held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 3
at The Flame, Byhalia Methodist Church, where he was a member for 87
years, being presented in 1921 as an infant for baptism. Burial was in
Byhalia Cemetery. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
He
leaves his wife of 65 years, Doris;
sons Bill Moore of Holly Springs, Ben Moore of Southaven, Dr. Rod Moore
of Merritt Island, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died Nov. 22, 2008 at
Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a former church
choir member and former church usher. She was disabled.

at Anderson Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member.

She

Springs, Marsha Naylor, Sharon Wilson, both of Olive Branch; and six
brothers, Elmo McKinney Jr., Elliott McKinney, both of Chicago, Ill.,

She

of Holly Springs, died Nov. 22, 2008 at Baptist Hospital-DeSoto in
Southaven. She was the widow of James Brown and Thurman Rutherford. She
was a former Church Missionary Society president, a choir member and a
member of the mother’s board.

were held at 11 a.m. on Nov.
29 at Providence MB Church in Holly Springs, where she was a member.
Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden in Holly Springs. Elder Arthur
Brown officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
