the latest high profile coach to fall victim to the coaching carousel.
A few years ago, it was the pro ranks who announced the firings of
their head coaches before the season ended. Now, for whatever reasons,
this premise has taken hold at the collegiate level and mentors in the
college ranks find themselves on the list of the most endangered

Patriots and Lady Patriots lost at Oak Hill Academy Thursday and then
swept the Memphis Home School Lady Knights and Knights Saturday. Full Story
Potts Camp jr. high teams tip off new season This
would be the second game of the 2008 season for the Potts Camp junior
high basketball teams. The junior high Cardinals have one win against
Holy Family and one loss against Myrtle. The junior high Lady Cardinals
have a winning record of 2-0, including 30-26 over Holy Family. The
junior high Lady Cardinals hit the season showing they can hang with
the best. Both games have been very close, with Potts Camp always
pulling together and coming out with a victory. The junior high Lady Cardinals lost all their starters last year, with the exception of one member, Megan Watkins. The
final score with Myrtle was 36 to 31. Scorers for the night were
Watkins 8, Alexis Thomas 2, Hailey Davis 6, Brittany Pitts 6, Monterria
Foster 4 and Kayla Yarbrough 2.

The
Class 1A Potts Camp boys and girls cross country team won third place
in the recent state meet out of 21 teams. The meet was held November 1
at Choctaw Trails in Clinton. Chad Randolph finished sixth and Abby
Farr finished 13th for all-state recognition. Team members and the
