The bantam squad lost a heartbreaker, 22-20 against the Oxford Tigers, to finish the season ranked number two in the Mississippi Youth Football and Cheer League Bantam Division.
The cheerleaders along with fans and supporters kept the teams encouraged as they battled to earn their spots in the playoffs.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Mt. Pleasant Lions will travel back to Oxford to participate in the playoffs. The peewee team will play against the Oxford Tigers (number 4) with the hopes of bringing the championship game scheduled for November 15 back to Marshall County. The bantam squad will play against the Water Valley Titans (number 3) with the hopes of playing for the championship trophy on November 15.
