November 7

• Meeting SOS Christian Recovery Ministries will host a group meeting Friday evening at 6 p.m. There will be a group for family members to learn how to cope and heal from the destructive behavior of an addict or and alcoholic in the family. We encourage you to come. The meeting place will be Cedar Haven Baptist Church at 750 Hwy. 309 S Byhalia. Exit 14 off Hwy. 78 4-lane, south and the first building on your right!

November 8

• Fall festival/health screening Nov. 8, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Greenfield Presbyterian Church, 5024 Old Hwy. 7 S. Games, homemade chili, soup, cakes, pies, fish plates and sandwiches, along with other goodies for sale. Please come out and support us on this fun day.

• Singing Nov. 8, 6:30 p.m. featuring The Dills from Jackson, Tenn. Fellowship Baptist Church, Hwy. 309 North, Byhalia. Wade Crum, pastor. The public is cordially invited.

• Fish fry Emory Independent Methodist Church at Watson will have a fish fry, 5-7 p.m. Adults: $10, children 10 and under $5. Cake auction will be held at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Prayznmor from Byhalia United Methodist Church will sing at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

November 9

• Rainbows and colors Reid’s Gift MB Church, Potts Camp, presents “The Rainbow and Colors as Interpreted from the Bible,” Sun., Nov. 9, 2:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Chairperson, Sis. Shirley Peyton, co-chairperson, Sis. Pauline Carter. Pastor Jerry Williams.

• Silver Stars anniversary The Silver Stars will celebrate their 40th anniversary, Sun., Nov. 9, 6 p.m. at the Oak Palace. Among the many groups on the program are The Golden Echoes of Tupelo and The Harmoniers of Oxford. Donation requested at the door. Everyone is invited to attend.

• Veterans’ Day service Heritage Apostolic Church, 204 Heritage Drive, Holly Springs, is hosting a Veteran’s Day service on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. honoring those who fought for our freedom. All veterans are cordially invited to attend. If you are a veteran or you intend to bring a veteran to this event, please contact us so that we may retrieve information from you specific to your tenure of service. Vets, we desire to acknowledge both your service and your sacrifice. May God bless you is our prayer. • Veterans Day program, Tues., Nov. 11, 6:30 p.m. at the Ida B. Wells-Barnett Museum, 220 N. Randolph St. For more info. call 662-252-3232, Leona Harris.

• Attention All Veterans and their families: A free spaghetti supper will be held at the VFW, Hwy. 7 South in Holly Springs. Donations will be accepted for all others. Please come help support this event; all proceeds benefit the Veteran’s Traveling Tribute that will be here November 26-30.

• Veteran’s day program The City of Holly Springs will host its second annual Veteran’s Day program, Tues., Nov. 11, at the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Building. The public is invited.

November 12

• Revival will be held at Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant, November 12-14, 7 p.m. nightly. Evangelist and prophet Elder Kenneth Hollingsworth of Las Vegas, Nev. will be guest. Elder Curtis Pritchard, pastor, invites everyone.

• Revival Yarbrough Chapel CME Church, Nov. 12-15, 7 p.m. nightly. Guest speaker will be the world renowned recording artist and preacher, Rev. Darryl Pettis, pastor of Temple of Praise in Memphis, Tenn. All are welcome. Pastor, Jerry Christian Jr.

November 14

• Holiday Fair The annual Holiday Fair sponsored by the Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers in Marshall County will be held at the Marshall County Library at 8:55 a.m. Topics will include quilts, crafts, decorations and musical selections by a dulcimer group.

November 15

• Singing Clear Creek Baptist Church with songwriter/recording artist Marvin Morrow from Cypress Inn, Tenn. Fellowship 5:30 p.m., concert follows at 7 p.m.

November 16

• Love day Mt. Sinai COGIC of Mt. Pleasant will have Pastor and Wife Love Day, 2 p.m. for Elder Curtis and Richenda Pritchard. Guests will be Elder Robert Hamilton and Golden Gate Cathedral COGIC of New Albany; and Elder Jeremiah Leseuer and the Tabernacle of Prayer Holiness Church of Holly Springs. Everyone is invited.

• FUND-RAISER, Holly Springs Lake Estates will have a drawing for a Savage Bolt Action 270 with scope, case, wood grain. Tickets can be purchased at Sports Corral in Holly Springs, tickets $5 or 3/$10.

November 22

• ATTENTION DEER HUNTERS Opening morning of deer season we will serve breakfast beginning at 1 a.m. until 9 a.m., at the VFW, Hwy. 7 South in Holly Springs. All proceeds will benefit The Veteran’s Traveling Tribute that will be here November 26-30.

• Meeting The Marshall County Genealogical Society will meet Sat., Nov. 22, 10 a.m. in the meeting room of the Marshall County Library in Holly Springs.
