EducationH.W. Byers Elementary annual Open House huge success H.W. Byers Elementary school held its annual Open House Oct. 14. Parents of students in grades K-6 had the opportunity to come and meet their children’s teachers. This special day is held every year to allow parents and teachers to get together to discuss children’s progress and find ways to improve learning. Parents were encouraged to continue to visit the school at any appointed time to participate in their children’s learning experiences. The 80 parents who attended the Open House were greeted by principal Dixie Pye before going into the classroom. H.W. Byers Elementary looks forward to a great year working with parents and community leaders. A school can only be successful with parents’ support. H.W.
