| White Oak tournament big success Volunteers
and golfers enjoyed a beautiful day at Kirkwood National in Holly
Springs. The 12th Annual White Oak Classic Golf Scramble Challenge,
held on Sept. 18, was another big success. It was sponsored by the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce. Twenty-four
teams competed for wins in the first and second flights. Three master
sponsors entering two teams each were Champion Awards, Precision Metal
Works and Mid-South Mechanical Contractors. Major sponsors were Smith
Transportation and Mid-South Ag Equipment Inc. The
CLM Insurance Group Hole in One featured a $5,000 prize on Hole # 4 and
the Hole in One on #15 for Nike Irons was won by B.J. Emerson. Following
the tournament, an awards dinner was served, provided by Kirkwood. The
Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank everyone who sponsored
beverages, tents, holes, carts, goodie bags, door prizes and raffle
prizes.
