Light Field set for Oct. 23 at Byhalia The Byhalia High School baseball and softball teams will be holding their first Light the Field Celebration. The event will take place at Byhalia High School baseball field Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. There will be a game, with this year’s team playing against former high school players. Concessions will be sold. The event is free and everyone is welcome.
Holland scores hole-in-one Oct. 9 On October 9, Donald “Duck” Holland of Waterford aced the Par 3, #4 hole (127 yards) at Kirkwood National using his 8 iron. The hole-in-one was witnessed by Bobby Watkins and Ron Hamilton, both of Holly Springs.
Byhalia hosting ‘Play Day’ October 25 Byhalia High School will
host its first annual “Play Day” October 25 with several area boys
teams facing off in preseason basketball. The schedule includes: - 12 noon, Senatobia vs. New Albany.
- 1 p.m., Holly Springs vs. Hernando.
- 2 p.m., Byhalia vs. Hillcrest.
- 3 p.m., Senatobia vs. Wooddale.
- 4 p.m., Hernando vs. New Albany.
- 5 p.m., Holly Springs vs. Hillcrest.
- 6 p.m., Byhalia vs. Wooddale.
There will be a $5 admission charge for the full afternoon of basketball.

night, October 3, at Byhalia High School included the retirement of two
Indian jerseys – number 50 worn by the late Terrell Richmond and number

Springs. The 12th Annual White Oak Classic Golf Scramble Challenge,
