PRAYER RALLY. At 12 noon on Saturday, October 11, parishioners of St.
Joseph Catholic Church will join with similar groups all across the
Americas in the nationwide 2008 Public Square Rosary Crusade
Prayer for repentance, conversion and peace. The Public Square Rosary
Rally commemorates the 91st anniversary of the 1917 Fatima apparition
and the Miracle of the Dancing Sun.

• FUND-RAISER Free Springs
United Methodist Church is having a fund-raiser to raise money for
sending kids to Camp Lake Stephens next summer. A barbecue and
spaghetti dinner will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dine-in, or
carry-out. The menu includes: barbecue, buns, beans, slaw, spaghetti,
salad and bread available for a requested donation of $6 a plate, $4
for a kid’s plate (10 and under only), $2.50 for a
sandwich only. There will also be drinks and many delicious home-made
desserts available for $1 each. The church is located one
mile off Hwy. 310 on Lafayette CR 511 in Harmontown.

• CLASS REUNION The class of
1966 of W.T. Sims High School will have a class reunion meeting at the
Marshall County Library, 11 a.m. This meeting is to discuss reunion
plans for 2009.

• singing at Bethel UMC
(Benton County) on Sunday night, October 12 at 5 p.m., with Lanell
Hutcheson, The Bethlehem Duo consisting of Ben Coleman and Mickey
Basil, Toni Childress and The Corn Crib Quartet from New Harmony
Methodist Church. A catfish dinner will follow the singing and a love
offering will be taken with all proceeds going to the building fund.
Chances on a Remington Model 500 Viper with scope are being sold and it
will be given away on this night. Contact any church member to purchase
a chance on this gun. Hope everyone can come out and join us for this
joyful occasion.
• HOMECOMING SERVICES
Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 3115 Old Pigeon Roost Road, is hosting
homecoming services, 10:45. Guests will be The Telestials from
