Former
students, teachers, friends, parents and supporters of “St.
Mary’s-CADET-Holy Family” joined in a celebration over the Labor Day
weekend (August 29-31). Dubbed the Seventh Grand Reunion, participants were exposed to a whole slate of activities over the fun-filled weekend. Starting
with a “Meet and Greet” fish fry at Annie’s Restaurant on Memphis
Street on Friday evening, the revelers were treated to a cocktail hour,
a well-appointed banquet on Saturday evening at Kirkwood National Golf
Course and a close-out picnic on Sunday afternoon at the Smith
Multi-Purpose Building on Memphis Street. This
reunion also commemorated the 60th anniversary of the school as a
viable part of the Holly Springs and Marshall County community. These
reunions have continued to grow over the years and serve to preserve
the valuable links that former attendees have to their roots.
