Absentee voting underway

Absentee voting for the November 4 general election has begun in the Marshall County circuit clerk’s office.
Regular office hours in the county courthouse in Holly Springs are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Absentee ballots can also be requested by mail.
The circuit clerk’s office will be open additional hours, Saturday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to noon for absentee voting.

If not yet registered to vote, the last day to do so in order to participate in the General Election is Friday, Oct. 3. Voter registration is available in the Marshall County circuit clerk’s office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Also, a voter registration form can be downloaded from the county’s web site, marshallcoms.org. This form can also be used for changes of address. The forms can be returned by mail, as long as they are postmarked by the deadline of October 3.
On election day, November 4, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
