| Murder suspects arraigned By SUE WATSON Staff Writer The
three suspects charged with capital murder in the killing of James
Lockett of Shadow Lane in Holly Springs were arraigned in municipal
court Thursday. Lockett was killed around 10:15 p.m. September 7 behind his home with a handgun, according to chief Robert Pearson. Eddie
Lewis Isom, 29, of the Neely Avenue area, was the last of the three
suspects taken into custody. He was found hiding in a closet at his
mother's house when arrested Tuesday, Sept. 9, around 6 p.m., Pearson
said. He said police received quite a few tips from the public and ran down all leads to apprehend Eddie Isom at his house. “There
were places in the city where he was reported to have been seen and we
certainly appreciate the assistance from citizens,” he said. The
other suspects, Cordett Isom, 20, also of Neely Avenue, and Kevin
Richardson,18, also face capital murder charges, Pearson said. Cordett
Isom was arrested after a chase the night of the shooting, while
Richardson was arrested the next morning, September 8. The three men are being held without bond with a preliminary hearing set for October 2, Pearson said. Other
activities reported by police for the week ending September 15 included
