| Supervisors meet tree farmers halfway By SUE WATSON A concerned board of supervisors met with three Marshall County tree farmers again at last week’s board meeting to work for a compromise on the ordinance that required all loggers post a road bond or letter of credit with the county.

Bank cuts ribbon on downtown improvements By SUE WATSON The oldest state bank in Mississippi – Bank of Holly Springs – cut the ribbon at its downtown building last week after an extensive renovation project inside and out. A large crowd enjoyed the celebration, which included complimentary food and refreshments all day long to the public. Suspects face copper-related charges By SUE WATSON Two Memphians have been charged with receiving stolen property, following their arrest September 11 on Mason Road, according to Sheriff Kenny Dickerson. |
