The Congressman’s visits included tours of facilities in Marshall, Benton, Itawamba and Monroe counties. “North
Mississippians need and deserve quality, affordable, and accessible
health care,” said Congressman Childers. “My wife and I have owned and
run a nursing center and a personal care home, and we understand how
important medical care is to our constituents. “I’m
honored to have met with the staff and administrators at rural health
care centers throughout the First District and am proud of the fine
work they do to serve their patients. I will continue to do everything
I can to provide the people of North Mississippi with the health
services they need.” Childers’ visits included
Williams Medical Clinic in Holly Springs, the Mantachie Rural Health
Care Clinic, Smithville Access Family Health Services, and North Benton

Congressman
Travis Childers visited with veterans in Marshall and Lafayette
Counties Thursday. He met with Veterans Affairs representatives at
Northeast Mississippi Health Care Clinic in Byhalia and held a County
Veterans Service Officers (CVSO) roundtable in Oxford to discuss issues
important to North Mississippi veterans. “The
fine men and women who have served to protect the freedoms upon which
this country was founded deserve the best care possible,” said
Congressman Childers. “I am proud to have met
with North Mississippi veterans, and am committed to providing our
armed services retirees and active duty members with the services they
need.” During the CVSO roundtable, Congressman
Childers spoke with veterans about legislative efforts concerning the
military, and also answered questions about issues of importance to
North Mississippi armed services retirees, including medical benefits
and the G.I. Bill.
