silver medal in the 1500 meter run and the bronze medal in the 800
meter run at the AAU Region 3A Track and Field Championship on July
10-13 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He has advanced to
the AAU National Track and Field Junior Olympics being held on July
23-August 2, at Eastern Michigan University, in Detroit, MI. |

The
Marshall Academy varsity cheerleaders (above) brought home several
honors from the Universal Cheerleaders Association Camp at the
University of North Alabama June 24-27. The Marshall cheerleaders were
camp cheer champions, camp pep rally champions and camp home pom
champions. They won all superior ribbons and a spirit stick. They also
placed third in the extreme routine dance. Members of the MA squad are

Murphy, (left), captain, and Olivia Clanton, co-captain, were chosen as
UCA All-Stars at the University of North Alabama on June 27. They will
be participating in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York
City. It will be aired at 8 a.m. local time on NBC. Regan Murphy was
also asked to try out for the UCA staff next summer. Cheerleader
